Katie & Liam’s Wedding – Dubai Wedding Photographer

I met Katie last week at the Starbucks down the road from her house to discuss her wedding this weekend. It was a very last minute booking as her original Photographer was no longer able to make it from the UK for their wedding day. We hit it off right away! Several times throughout our meeting we ended up on very random topics that had nothing to do with weddings and had to remind ourselves to get back on track and discuss her wedding day which was only a few days away! After a coffee and a lovely chat we were all set and ready to go for the weekend!

With half of the guests arriving from UK in the few days leading up to their big day Katie was kept very busy entertaining everyone and showing them the sights of Dubai! For most guests it was their first time here! What a great location to travel to for a wedding!!!

On Friday Morning I met Katie and her Bridesmaids at their hotel while they were preparing for the big day. I walked through their door and immediately said WOW! The bridesmaid dresses were stunning!! The colour was amazing and right away I had a big smile on my face knowing that the colour would photograph perfectly! I was so excited!!

Capturing their getting ready photos was great, a bit of a rush as they were a bit behind scheduled with the car already waiting downstairs and a minor zip issue on one of the dresses trying to be sorted! Its funny how during all fittings this never happens but for some reason it always happens on the day!!

All set. Ready to go. Nerves settled. Excitement kicks in.

Katie and Liam’s ceremony was absolutely beautiful! You could feel the love and warmth in the church during their commitments to one another. Watching and being able to capture their loved ones faces was so special. I truly feel honoured to have been their for them to capture these feeling.

We left Christ Church in Jebel Ali and headed to Mina Al Salam at the Madinat for their Reception. What a gorgeous location! Right on the lagoon water edge watching the Abra’s driving past, and the Burj Al Arab in the background. Nothing says Dubai more than this location!!

After lunch Katie and Liam went for a romantic ride through the Madinat waters on one of the Abra’s. A traditional Arabic boat.

Katie and Liam met at University in Manchester where they fell in love and eventually moved across to Dubai in February.

Such a stunning dress!

Bella is their gorgeous little girl. She was such an angel the whole day! She must have known it was a very special day and was such a star the entire time!

Katie’s beautiful bridesmaids, her two sisters and best friend…

Liam and his boys…

A perfect way to finish such an incredible day with the most spectacular sunset!

I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to photograph on their wedding day. Every detail was perfect. It was so great to meet everyone who attended their wedding from Dubai and overseas. I hope you have all had a great time visiting Dubai and enjoyed your desert safari the next day!

Katie and Liam – I wish you both all the best in your lives together as a married couple. You are a gorgeous family! Thank you for asking me to capture such a special time in your lives!

Keith Orchard - Sarah, thank you so much for taking such beautiful pictures of my daughter’s big day. From these early samples I am sure that there are going to be many more great photographs to follow. By the way, when you talk to Katie can you let her know if it was a blue cake or a pink cake !!!!November 1 2011 – 2:31 pm
